This is the last few years of Puyi as a professional footballer. Already achieved everything at Club and National Team, he remains focus, hungry, and willing to put everything for his team. During this period he became very injury prone unfortunately, which limit his game time. Eventually his knees had given up at the 2013-2014 season, and he decided to not continue playing professionally.
As a defender he remains consistent and reliable, still undoubtedly Barca's best defender during this period. His leadership and commitment made him a respected figure, but Puyi is much more than just that. He's still a very good footballer. No questions about his athleticism and endurance, even at this stage of career his stamina and jump are very high. A bonafide La Masia graduate, he still has a decent technical quality for a defender, and capable of spreading passes and helping the build up from the back. His mind is also still very sharp, making him a reliable defender in zonal marking. Also his teamwork is still very high, making him a very good DF Leader who could organize the defense very well.
