A little tribute to one of the best midfielder in the world during his prime years. Cesc joined Arsenal at a tender age of 16, quickly racking up appearances and soon enough become an established starter. It's quite a remarkable feat, considering at that time Arsenal had some seasoned internationals in midfield like Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Pires, and Ljunberg. He was part of the famous La Masia Class of 87, alongside eventual world cup winners like Pique and Messi, so by the time of his arrival at North London, fans were expecting big things from him.
After the departure of some veterans and key players, Fabregas became more and more influential, especially since the beginning of 2008-2009 season. Also after a great Euro, Fabregas was in a great form and looks ready to lead Arsenal, which consisted of mostly young players who were lacking in experience. The stats above speak for itself. Fitness wise Fabregas was a far superior player than how he is in recent years. Very energetic and ever present in midfield, always involved in every action and capable of roaming free into dangerous positions. His instinct and visions are crucial in opening up defenses, and his passing were world class. This quality boosted his overall output, both in assist and goals. He was simply a phenomenal midfielder, one of Premier League's best ever.
