JACK WILSHERE | PES 2011 STATS | 2010-2011

Now this is the one set that I'm very excited to talk about. Back at 2010 Wilshere was having the world at his feet, giving stellar performances week in, week out for Arsenal. And then the UCL clash between Arsenal and Barcelona came along, where in that game Wilshere emerged like a beam of light in Arsenal midfield, battling it out and excelling against PRIME Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets. Unfortunately at the return leg Arsenal wasn't capable of performing at the same level as in Emirates, also add to the fact that RVP was sent off due to a red card, making it even more difficult to get back into the game.

Wilshere is NOT a typical English midfielder during this period. England was accustomed to a strong, athletic midfielder like Lamps and Stevie G, or a deep lying playmaker like Carrick and Scholes. Wilshere doesn't have any characteristics of those players. He's more like a La Masia product than a traditional English midfielder. Wilshere's game relies on short burst of acceleration and short passing, with simple yet crisp touch like a Spanish midfielder. Which in theory could benefit England NT during this period, which lacks creativity and invention from the midfield. Wilshere is very supportive as a midfield player, always offering himself to others as passing option, this makes Arsenal a very good possession style team that already has some magnificent passers within the team, e.g. Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song. His first steps were amazing, and to be honest his Acceleration could be pushed even higher, maybe to 85.

Young Wilshere is an exciting player to watch. I highly recommend everybody to re-watch Arsenal vs Barcelona game back in 2011, this game perfectly sums up Wilshere as a player. He seems so calm and unfazed by the stellar names presented on the pitch that night. His mentality looks strong especially for a player in his age. He's bound to be a world class player, sadly injuries ruined his career.
